1. Our Privacy Commitment
At Scanlet, we understand that you are scanning sensitive documents like salary slips, IDs, and contracts. Our architecture is designed to prioritize your privacy over everything else.
2. Data Processing (No-Store Policy)
- No Permanent Storage: Images uploaded to Scanlet are processed in server RAM. Once the 8-bit conversion is complete and you download the file, the data is purged.
- Metadata Stripping: We automatically remove EXIF data (GPS location, device info) from your images during processing.
- Encryption: All data transfers between your device and Hostinger servers are encrypted via SSL/TLS.
3. Information We Collect
We do not require account registration. We do not collect names, email addresses, or phone numbers. We may collect anonymous technical data (browser type, time spent) solely to improve the tool's performance.
4. Third-Party Services
Scanlet does not sell or share your document data with third parties. We use standard web hosting (Hostinger) which follows strict industry security protocols.
